Privacy Policy
Here is how Local Deception Bay Blocked Drains looks after the personal details you share with us, whether you ring (07) 3522 5670, send a booking request through localdeceptionbayblockeddrains.com.au or simply read the site. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988.
What You Tell Us
When you book a drain job or ask a question, we only ask for what the job needs:
- your name and the best number to reach you
- the address where the drain is
- an email address, if you would like paperwork sent that way
- a description of the problem, and any photos you choose to send
Details the Site Records
Like most websites, localdeceptionbayblockeddrains.com.au keeps basic visit statistics: which pages were opened, the type of device and browser, the general area a visit came from and the page that sent you here. Small files called cookies help with this. Your browser lets you refuse or delete cookies, and every page keeps working without them.
Phone calls to (07) 3522 5670 are connected by a call-tracking provider, which notes the caller's number, the time of the call and how long it lasted.
Why We Keep Them
Your details are used to answer your enquiry, book the visit, get a plumber to the right address, explain the price and send any paperwork for the job. Visit statistics show us which pages help people and which need work. We do not sell or rent personal details, and we do not add you to marketing lists.
Who Else Can See Them
Your details are passed to the licensed plumber who takes your job. The companies that host this site, carry form messages and run the call tracking handle them solely so those services work. We will also pass details on where an Australian law requires it.
Keeping Them Safe
Personal details are guarded against misuse, loss and access by anyone without permission, through secure hosting, tight access and removing records we no longer need. Nothing connected to the internet can be made perfectly safe, so please leave sensitive information such as bank details out of form messages.
Checking or Correcting Your Details
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a correction or ask us to delete it. Use the contact page or ring (07) 3522 5670. If you are unhappy with how a privacy matter was handled, please raise it with us so we can sort it out first. You can also lodge a complaint with the OAIC, the federal privacy regulator.
When This Page Changes
This policy will be revised whenever our handling of personal details changes, and the date shown above marks the latest version.
